XVIII century – Wooden floral carving. Grinling Gibbons Sculpture

Antique floral carving made of linden wood by Grinling Gibbons 1648 – 1721, exceptional carver and sculptor in the service of the Queen of England. The work presents all the characteristic features of his way of working and sculpting, present in other works and still exceptional today. Due to the passage of time the work has had slight breaks and wear as shown in the photos. Weight approximately 3.70 kg. Measurements 48 cm, height x 39 cm, width x 12 cm, depth.
